VELVET -fabric of the season- Christmas special- Twin set @ Lillie by Ruthie

Ho ho ho!

How many of you love the month December?? i totally love this time of the year.

No, december is not my birthday month, but because December itself rings in joy, festivities , celebrations, happy faces and parties.

Being from a convent school in my initial years of education, i am always excited about Christmas.There is something really magical about decorating the Christmas trees, the red Santa, gift exchanging, christmas carols, the wintery chills, relishing ginger wine, rum cakes, to-gether dinner and parties!

Since , this month brings in Christmas and an extended celebrations for New Year, the excitement , the plannings, the enthuasism is what makes December very special or me!. :)

OK, now coming back to post, this onset of autumn winter has seen emergence of rather very unlikely fabric, I swear I never thought I would ever sport this fabric everrrrr!!

But, my mind =blown when I stumbled upon this insta store called @lillie by ruthie.

This store caters to high end fashion at reasonable prices. You can find tops, dresses, skirts, pants suits, trousers, pallazo, shrugs etc in all kinds of fabric Georgette, chiffon, rayon, cotton, satin and velvet.

Of course, I picked a Velvet twin set from her A/W-16 collection and I was thrilled on receiving it.

I fell in instant love when I wore this gorgeous piece. The fit was perfect, both the crop top n skirt come with zipper at sides, and velvet looks so royal, and absolutely stunning.

The dual course reflection was lovely.

I twirled in the flared skirt like no one's business. Haha.

This dress is ideal for this Christmas party or any party, just need be yourself and enjoy from your heart with your loved ones!

Detachable Collars- Be Office-ready with @FunkyDory

Hi guys,

todays post is about this little but statetement-making accessory/ clothing which i honestly had not seen-before and was really innovative, in all fashion-senses!!!

i happened to come across this instagram storewhich goes by the name of Funy Dory and was amazed with such a brilliant outfit -idea!!
They have plethora of collar designs- pointed collars, peter-pan collars, frilly-bow collars,
pleated collars, choker collars and much more,

I mean seriously these detachables are such a thoughtfully curated idea to convert any casual or rather very simple /basic outfit into work wear apparel- with detachables collars, ties, pemplums, cowls, shirt-bibs.
woww!!

I was super excited to try this piece of clothing-accessory myself, i had to get one!
And stylize it in my own way!

I styled their pink frilly collar with a black bow on it.
I wore over my plane black tee, i wanted the collar to stand out on my outfit.

I completed my look black and white printed trousers and nude pumps.
And yes, my spectacles :)

As seen in the pictures, the result was outstanding.. i liked how it brought a 360 degress change in my outfit, you can see the outfit is casual and very basic, but the how gracefully the collar had made an impact.

As , it was office wear, the pictures were taken in Technology park, all the big buildings you see in the back drop are actual office buildings. :) :)

How Realistic i am no!!?!!

I am eyeing on their sequinned collar -which is such a pretty piece for party wear.
I will sure get them next. :P

Fun day out in Bugs Bunny t-shirt and Tote bag from @thesouledstore

What's up doc!????
Does it reminds you of a mischievous, funny n cute face of bugs bunny, holding a carrot in his hand n acting totally un-awares!! I know right!!

As a kid, I used to enjoy watching it a lot because of his wittiness and naughtiness.
One of my favorite Looney toon.
Haha!! How beautiful were those childhood days!! I hate the whole idea of growing up!!!.

I paired my Bugs Bunny T-shirt with a checked skirt which had similar colour as that of my t shirt.

For hair, I carried two pigtails, just as Bugs Bunny's big ears.
I was all smiling, grinning, laughing, jumping ,hopping like a bunny , carrying my big tote bag.
I felt like a school girl, as if re-living my childhood.!
I was just too excited!!!
