Product Review: Kaya Skin Clinics Super Orange Bloom Skin Awakening Gel.

Hi guys.!!
Here I am with another product review.
Today I m gonna review a gel based product from Kaya SkinClinic Super Orange Bloom Skin Awakening Gel.
(Phew!! Such a long name)
I recently had a mini haul at Heath & Glow store at inorbit mall.
While I was browsing the store, I got my eyes on the Kaya skincare counter. Believe h n g added the kaya in their kitty some months ago only, since previously they did not use to keep kaya. Kaya has a separate showroom cum clinic in the same mall.
H n G keeps brands such as loreal ,Maybelline, Revlon, lakme, Garnier, ponds,  chambor, vichy, givenchy, bblunt, vlcc,  organic harvest, and other Ayurveda brands like Biotique, Jovees, Aroma Magic by blossom kochar, etc.
So. While I was roaming to check out their collection, my eyes saw this beautiful. Bright, n classy orange jar.

The moment my fingers touched the jar. The oh- so- pushy SA started to tell me how the orange super bloom range is one of the best range in market and has been awarded by Femina magazine.
Well, my eyes were fixed at the tester jar eager to open it..
It was like orange gel -jiggly wiggly  jelly kind. It smelt super-yumm.
I had to remind myself not to to eat it hehe. Kidding!
Before I cud think anything else, she smeared some of the gel- o on my hands.
I liked the texture and how it got absorbed into the skin.
Now, this baby found place in my dressing table for quite sometime and I thought it's right time to review it.
Keep reading for more!

Price: 1490 INR (ouch!! ) For 50ml jar
Colour: super orange
Consistency: gel-ly
Smell: guess, it smells so cirtus-y orange. Yumm!

Review:
I bought this gel for summers as my night skin care regime, since I was reluctant to use cream as the weather was to humid. Other reason was the presence of vitamin c in it. Beauty industry these days is raving so much about VitC, and how it helps to fight back ageing and free radicals due to presence of anti-oxidants.

How I use it:
I cleanse my face at night and/ or apply facepack , after toning, I applied this gel gently on my skin.
It absorbed quickly. But make sure not to apply a very thick layer else it will give you tightening effect.
It helped to calm my skin at night and gave me rested look next day.
Plus the citrus smell is mild and soothe my nerves also that helped me sleep better.
All in all I liked the orange super bloom skin awakening gel.
On weekends, I laze around and use it as facial message gel.

Pros:
Absorbs easily
Cause no breakout's
Yummy smell.
Skin looks little bright next morning
Can be used as VitC mask as well
It will suit all skin types in summer
Cons:
The price!! It caused hole in my pocket. :(

Product Review : La Shield Sunscreen Gel Spf 30

Hi guys.!!
This is my first post and I thought of starting it off with one product which should be and must be inseparable part of ones' skincare regime.
Beauty is skin-deep and it's very important to take good care of it. I believe skin is not gender-based, which means everyone weather a man or a woman should take care of it. N why not!! Your face and your skin is definitely a part of your personality and a clear healthy skin never goes wrong. Right?!!  Cleansing- toning-moisturising ,weekly scrubbing , and some pampering in form of nice hydrating facepack helps to rejuvenate your skin from day to day damage caused by dirt, pollution and very importantly- sun.
We must apply sunscreen whether it's summer or winter, humid or rainy, i make sure not to see step out of house without a good sunscreen. Not only it protects you from tan, sun burn, it screens you from UVA and UVB rays that makes you susceptible to skin cancer.  Sun accelerates your skin's ageing process and leads to dark-spots and patchy skin.
OK now, enough of my blabber, let's go back to the review.

This sunscreen is drug store product recommended by my dermatologist.
My skin type: oily acne prone , fair-tone.

Description: the packet says 'Next Gen Protection--IR+UVA+UVB spf 30
PA++++ (omg!! 4 timed plus )
Broad spectrum protection UVA/UVB.
Oil free
Dermatological Tested.

Quantity: 60g
From: Glenmark pharmaceuticals Ltd.

My Experience and Review: Years back, first time, I saw my friend using this sunscreen. Hers was the same skin tone as mine and  prescribed by her doctor. she also told that Spf 30 is enough for sun-protection. the key lies in reapplying it after 2-3 hours, if you are exposed to sun for longer hours.
That time I was unfamiliar with this sunscreen as I had heard of brands promosing Spf as high as 90!!! (Seriously.!! )Lotus, Neutrogena, Garnier and other brands.

Now, when I was recommended this by my dermatologist, I thought let's give this a shot.!
Mine being oily skin ,I am vary of using oily, creamy, thick creams., They most often than not, cause me breakouts, and clog my pores. And makes me feel sweaty and like an oil pan (hehe.)
Sun is at its best at around 9am to 4pm. That's the peak office hours and I make sure I apply it in the morning after I cleanse my face.
Rest of the day, i am indoors (office) ,so i skip reapplying it.

Key ingredients : please refer the pic below. its dreadful to type all those heavy names. :)

Colour : white,
consistency: thick gel- cream type.
Smell: its mildly citrus-y, will not irritate sensitive-noses.

I was so apprehensive of using it on my face looking at the consistency of it. But then I had no choice and believing my dermatologist.
I applied it in small quantity initially. Thankfully,it spread like a dream.
It felt oily on my skin, which subsided after 15-20 min.
Thank God !
After using it for a month, it does quite a decent job, I must say.!!
I did not cause me breakouts and did protect my skin from getting tan and sun burn.
My skin kind of felt dewy and was looking bright with a subtle glow.!
And it's PARABEN- free.
Yayy.!! Mission successful.

Price: 850 INR for 60 Gms.
It delivered same result as other high-end product -Lotus, Neurtogena dry-shield.

Pros:
  • Suitable for oily skin
  • Non-comedogenic- does not cause breakouts.
  • Water resistant
  • Non-irritant
  • PARABEN- free
  • Alcohol and dye free
  • Without colour additives.
  • It also gets mixed with my foundation without getting oxidised.

Cons:
Can't see any.

Will I repurchase: mmm.. may be... I may try my hands on other brands..hey..why not..Thats how i can review it, you see :)

Hope u liked my review.
