This particular blog story is centered more around the theme- Leaf , and thus the surroundings in the photographs are all filled with leaves, bushes, trees , foliages- all greens!! 
Not just the surrounding, but the outfit is also inspired by Leaf and the Nature, in general.
In almost all pictures that you see, has got leafs or foliage on beautiful pathways.

Vogue and Vanities- Style diaries: versatile 'Cape dress' story

Hi guys,
Fashion is not just about clothes you wear or make up you put on, its an extension of your personality that you portray to the people around. It's about your comfort and your presentation.
It's about confidence n comfort you feel in your attire, pertaining to the place and the occasion you are wearing it.
It gives subtle sense of confidence you feel about yourself in crowd.
So, always take your little own sweet time to get ready to wear your persona and your mood ,every single day.
VogueAndVanities_Pari

With this blog, I do not intend to teach/ preach about fashion. It's just a small 'lookbook' or 'style diary' of my own fashion sense, that I just thought of sharing to you all, in the form of small story and picture book. :)
This is very first write-up about my 'Vogue and Vanities' ! :) I hope u enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Fashion is ever-evolving.
It comes like a storm and then gradually fades n then one day it re-surfaces again.! remember, those chiffon kaftans  that were a rage in 90's.
They are back with a makeover in the form of Cape.
See how fashion can play hide n seek with you.?? :) :)
Let me come back to the main topic Long story cut short.!!
Oh.. the long - short top I wore totally relates to this.
Not really sure what exactly to call it.
It's a cape, its a long slit dress, it's a front slit kurti, or a maxi dress..!!
it's so versatile.
You can wear it in so many different ways.. depending on the occasion.!!
VogueAndVanities_Pari

VogueAndVanities_Pari

Here I wore it along with shorts.. it gave me a very-edgy, care-free look.
Something perfect for a day party or a beach dress, holiday dress or a maxi should I say.??
U decide.?!!!!
The versatile thing is that u can wear it with leggings/ jeggings and it will look like a stylish front-slit kurti,so that way you can wear it to office also, probably to an office party. That way, it just won't keep lying in your wardrobe awaiting next party/ holiday.  Anyway, who would repeat an outfit in a party or holiday!?? you need to get lots of pictures clicked and get some mandatory selfie-ayy.!!

How I wore:
It's a black Georgette material maxi top (help me guys , I still can't decide what exactly to call it )
I bought this online from koovs -cantgetenoughsale- that they have up on their site even right now.
Accessories were minimal.
For footwear i wore Red T-shaped wedges from Pepper #LifestyleStores
This is how it turned out. Day Lighting was just perfect that day these were clicked. 

Product Review: Clean & Clear Natural bright face wash- with Rose Water and Honey

Hi guys,

Face wash is very important part of any skincare routine. It's the first step of  CTM routine.
Choosing a right face wash that suits your skin type is very essential.
A good face wash should draw out the dirt and oils from the pores and should give a clean and fresh feeling, without drying out the skin, post wash, and, importantly, cause no freak-outs.
This face wash is nothing but that !
And the fragrance is so nice 

The packaging of this   facewash is similar to their 'morning energy' range. I have used their lemon flavour earlier.

Coming back to this beauty :
The facewash is light blush pink in colour and looks so cute in the bottle. And the whiff of this is so sweet and Rosey.
The pack says 'oil-free- won't clog pores'
Cleansing- and nourished for naturally bright skin- with rose water and honey.

For ingredients please refer pic:

Pros:
  • It lathers well.
  • The smell is mild but sweet
  • It cleans the skin without feeling slippery
  • It gives a soft glow and freshness post wash
  • Does not cause breakouts.
  • Decently priced.

Cons :
  • Can't think of any. :p

Price : 110 INR for 100ml

This is a pretty decent product that can be tried out. Let me know if you have tried it or liked it.

Hope, this post was useful to you.

Product review: VLCC Clear Tan Fruit Face pack.

Hey guys.!!
Todays post, I will be reviewing a face pack. I bought this on a whim. Somehow I wanted to use a fruit face pack when I spotted this VLCC Clear tan fruit face pack.
The packaging of this is pretty simple.
The tube is bright yellow with picture of cucumber that also claims to 'lighten sun exposed skin' and suitable for  all skin types.

What the pack says:
An effective formulation with natural fruit extracts of cucumber, pineapple and mulberry, uniquely combined with Ayurvedic powder that helps clear deep seated impurities and tan. It's skin lightening properties improves complexion over regular usage, leaving skin radiant and supple.

My review:
It's thick ,cream-like ,milky white paste.
Smell is nice but doesn't smell fruity at all.
I applied a thin layer of the pack and let it dry for 15-20 min. Washing it off is a tricky task. It does not come off easily. Needed multiple splashes of water to take it off completely.
Well, post wash, the skin felt smooth and fresh and somewhat brightened. But the glow-effect did not last till next day.
Nevertheless, it's good to pamper your skin with, once or twice a week. It does gives a clean feel to the skin.
And most importantly, doesnot cause breakouts.

Pros
  • Gives a good after-glow
  • Skin feels soft and dewy.
  • Helps to clear away impurities
  • Does not cause break outs
  • Fragrance is nice
  • Decently priced
  • Suitable for all skin types

Cons:
  • Washing it off is a pain

All and all, it's a good decent fruit face pack at the price.
Price is : 215 for 85 g

Rating: 3/5

Product review : Vichy Normaderm toner /astringent

Hi guys.!
I am here with another review if one of the most talked about toner from Vichy. This is from the range Normaderm- meant for oily and acne prone skin.
I have never been actually able to use toner before but ever since I tried this green baby I understood its important to reach your skin down to the pore level. A lot of oil, dirt and sebum accumulates in the pores which when gets in contact with hair follicle blocks the pore and results in white head or black head and/or acne :(

By the way, I got it from
Health & Glow store. It's also available at nykaa as well.
Since, I have acne n open pore issues, I thought of 'investing' on it. 

This green bottle of Vichy says it's a 'pore purifying' lotion cum astringent    woahh.
I brought it for the fact that it's made for sensitive skin . It has Vichy Thermal Spa water and is soap-free and PARABEN- free.. hurray.

Ingredients and other details: please refer pic:

 
My reviews:
I used it in my night skin care routine. After I wash my face I put few drops of this lotion/ toner on clean cotton ball and  gently dab it on my areas which has open pores like cheeks, side of the nose, chin, and areas where I feel few bumps/ zits coming up.
It stings for a few seconds specially around the nose. Sensitive noses plz take a note ! But it subsides within seconds, nothing intolerable. If a product stings for a while it means it's working, nothing to worry about.
It has got Glycolic Acid in the ingredient list because of which it gives 'peeling effect' but the process is gentle.
It toke me 4 days or rather I should say night to actually come to notice the results..
While on one hand, it did help to dry out the existing acne, sadly I also noticed the skin around the area where I applied it, getting dried and flaky.
I had to apply little more moisturiser than usual the next morning.

Pros:
  • It's soap free and PARABEN- free
  • It has vichy thermal spa water
  • It contains Glycolic acid which is good in drying out existing acne and acne scars
  • It gives a little cooling sensation on being applied.
Cons:
  • The toner did not absorb completely into my skin. Although the lotion had dried but I could still feel a thin film over the areas I applied it.
  • Skin around the area became flaky, the next day.
  • dry skin beauties- I guess its not good choice for you- so does bottle mentions meant for oily skin.
  • I could not notice any decrease in pore size- may be I need to use it for another 4-5 months.
  • Price is an issue: 1090 for 200 ml.
Will I repurchase?
It did help me in calming the  existing acne and fading few of the fresh scars but still i think I will try another one after this gets over, probably from Seba-med. :)
Have u guys tried this toner from vichy?
Or any other toner from other brand which u liked.? Please let me know in the comment section.
I hope this review was useful for you.!
